- Standard tools didn’t work
Step 1: Remove the Metal Cap (Magnet Holder)
Start by trying to unscrew the metal part that holds the magnet inside.
What we tried:
- By hand ❌
- Flathead screwdriver ❌
- Coin ❌
What actually worked:
- Spray WD-40 into the threading
- Wait 30 minutes
- Use a dime coin + pliers
- Apply strong, steady pressure
✅ Eventually, the cap loosened and came off
Step 2: Attempt to Remove the Magnet
Now comes the hardest part.
Methods we tested:
- Pushing from the back ❌
- Prying with a screwdriver ❌
- Soaking overnight in WD-40 ❌
👉 Result: Magnet did not move at all
Step 3: Break the Magnet (Real Solution)
At this point, the magnet is already unusable — so removal becomes the priority.
What worked:
- Use a center punch tool
- Carefully break the magnet into small pieces
- Remove it piece by piece

Step 4: Clean the Inside Properly
After removing the broken magnet:

- Wrap it in plastic or film

Step 5: Install the New Magnet
